FAQ
LOGIN CODE ISSUES: This is the current most frequently reported tech problem.
What is happening is probably that the Teachable platform is sending you the email with the code, but because of all of the new email filtering with all of the email providers to better block spam and criminals, your email system isn't letting the Teachable email with the login code through to your inbox.
The next step is to "safe list" Teachable's email address. Here is a link to instructions for how to do this: https://share.teachable.cloud/NQuBvBAe
Once you do the safe listing, it may still take a day or so for one of the emails from Teachable to come through so that you can get the code.
Don't worry, we will get you logged in! This will not be a problem that cannot get solved, I promise you that.
Please let me know once you have safe listed Teachable and keep me posted regarding everything that happens with this matter. This is a current HOT issue that is developing and I need to keep up with what is happening. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your help.

I'm having technical issues with the Teachable website, including the video not loading. What should I do?
-
Refresh your page or close and reopen the page to load the most recent version of the page you are viewing. If that doesn't work, do the following:
- I know it sounds cliche, but there is a reason why IT professionals recommend rebooting your device as the first step for all tech issues because it resolves an extremely high percentage of tech issues non-invasively. Reboot your device and let it run all of the updates to establish a clean slate.
- You should also regularly be clearing your browser cache to clear stored website data.
- Update your Internet Browser if needed. For best results, we recommend using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Disable third-party browser extensions, as some have been known to cause interference with Teachable School sites.
- Test your internet speed and connection.
- Switch devices to see if the problem you're experiencing can be duplicated.
See the Teachable article on common Technical issue trouble shooting.

If you are continuing to have technical issues, including password problems, please do a search for your specific problem and solution here:
https://support.teachable.com/hc.en-us
To contact Teachable support directly (that is very often the best option with technical issues that you are having, as I have no control over the tech of the Teachable platform), please go to this link:
https://support.teachable.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
It is always a good idea to explain the problem that you are having in detail and to let Teachable know (1) the device you are using (2) the browser you are using (3) the link to a specific video that is not playing (if that is your issue and (4) whether or not you have rebooted your device and cleared your browser's cache.
How do I turn off or change the language of the subtitles/closed captioning on the videos?
You can control the language of the subtitles, turn them on and off, and even change the color and the size of the words.
When you hover your cursor over the video screen, a bunch of tools pop up across the bottom of the video screen. The tool that looks like a keyboard is the one that controls the subtitles. Choose your language, change their size or shut them off.
I don't know which device you are using, but on all devices there is an area with tools like volume and stuff. On my computer, I see the tools bar at the bottom part of each video. If you are using an ipad, you access the tools differently.
If you are using an ipad and not a computer, press the three little dots on the bottom of the screen to find the tools to control the subtitles.
The power is in your hands!
I'm interested in taking your online classes and I'm wondering how I can get possible questions answered about the course? Also, how do I share my work in the course with you and other participants?
Participants share work with each other mainly in the private Facebook Groups that are running for many of my classes. You can also share your work or ask questions right in the Teachable classroom. But be sure to check if your question has already been asked and answered in the comments to the videos, because chances are high that this is the case.
Willa Workshops classes have extremely active private Facebook groups when the course is first launched and for months after that. Some classes that I released in the past still have very active FB groups. Even if you enroll after the initial hooplah, you can still access the Facebook Group once you enroll and enjoy all of the posts from the past. There is so much inspiration!
Once a course is long past it's initial launch, I don't go back every day to check for comments in the Teachable classroom. I just have a lot of courses running and I am only one person! That said, if you need anything from me, I am always available by email ([email protected]) and we can even set up a telephone call when necessary.
I cannot respond to individual comments left on classroom lessons in older courses at this point in time-but I am always just an email away! Most of the questions have already been asked and answered in the comments sections to each course on Teachable by participants who have taken the course already.
I just bought a new course from Willa Workshops and when I am logged into Willa Workshops, I do not see the new course in my list of courses. What do I do now?
- The most common reason for this happening is that when you purchased the new course, there was a different email address in the registration process and this generated a new and different user account in the Willa Workshops school on Teachable.
- Reasons for this are: there may have been a typo in your email address when you registered for the new course (this happens A LOT!), your email address for Teachable and your email address for PayPal are two different emails, or you have multiple accounts within Willa Workshops already and each account has some of your classes in it.
- Please email me at [email protected] and let me know that you cannot find your new course that you just purchased. Send me your full name and a list of all of your email addresses that you can remember. Let me know your preferred email address for Willa Workshops.
- After I receive your email notification of the problem, I will correct the issue in the backend of the system and let you know by email that this problem has been fixed.
- You can then login again with your preferred email at https://willa-workshops.teachable.com/sign_in and your new class will be there. If it isn't, clear your browser cache and look again-it should show up.
I forgot my password (or I'm having login issues) and I submitted for a password reset, but I didn't receive the password reset email.
We are so sorry for your frustration! Before contacting us about your password reset nightmare (we have them too with other websites, we know!), try logging in here without doing a reset:
https://willa-workshops.teachable.com/sign_in
If that doesn't work and you have forgotten your password and the reset email is not arriving in your inbox or spam folder, go ahead and do the following
Step 1: Contact Wendy at [email protected] and let her know that you submitted for a password resent and did not receive a password reset email from Teachable.
Step 2: Let Wendy know your exact email address that you use for your Willa Workshops account on Teachable.
Step 3: Wendy will issue you a temporary password and email you back letting you know what your new, temporary password is.
Step 3: Login to https://willa-workshops.teachable.com using the temporary password that I send you by email.
Step 4: Now that you are logged in, you can do your own password reset in your profile by clicking on the circle in the upper right of your Teachable screen and navigating your way over to Password reset. I'm interested in your year long mixed media + collage art course called Fodder School. Should I start with Fodder School 1, Fodder School 2, Fodder School 3 or Fodder School 4?
For all of the information about Fodder School, click here. For the answer to the question, read on . . .
Each year of Fodder School has different teachers and different projects-it is all amazing!
Each month of Fodder School is a stand alone course, so there are no prerequisites. But, the more you do Fodder School months, the more leftovers you have, and those leftovers get incorporated into the new months, so there is an element of connectivity, but not in the traditional sense. It's more like "the more you do, the better and better it gets." People who do more months of content level up their skills, but there is chronological order to the lessons.
So, Fodder School 1 is not a prerequisite for FS2. FS2 is not a prerequisite for FS3.
I recommend choosing which Fodder School to start with based on your answer to one question:
Do you want to work on each month with a group of artists from around the world who can share their work on Instagram and in our private Facebook groups (social media sharing is optional, not required!)? Are you looking for a lot of social media interaction with other FS participants? If yes, the answer is FS4 because the first new lessons begin dropping on October 1, 2024 for that year long experience.
If you would rather work at your own pace (you can still be very active in a Facebook group, but you won't have the motivation of keeping up with a large group), then I recommend either Fodder School 1, 2 or 3 one is not better than the other.
If you have a lot of time for crafting, and you want enough content to keep you busy each week, sign up for all of the Fodder School years. Keep up with the current Fodder School lessons as they release each month, and then work through FS1, FS2 and/or FS3 at your own pace.
I hope that helps!
Please let me know if you have any other questions by e-mailing me here: [email protected]
I'm registered for one or more of your courses, but I don't know how or where to access the lessons?
Login here: https://willa-workshops.teachable.com/sign_in
or go to my website, https://willawanders.com, and you will see the "CLASS LOGIN" in the upper right corner of the home screen.
Do you offer installment plans or monthly payment plans for your courses?
I currently offer this option on select courses on Willa Workshops.
I have found that it is problematic for my school. You see, people's credit cards fail . . . regularly. Maybe their credit card expired or was stolen and they don't think to replace the number in my system . . . or their credit card gets maxed out.
Are you familiar with PayPal's installment system? Anything purchased on PayPal (I think) can be paid for in installments. Also credit cards are natural installment plans. Of course you have to pay interest, which is exactly what would need to happen if all of my classes had payment plan options.
I need a receipt of my course purchase. How can I get that?
1. Login and click on your profile in the top right corner
2. Navigate to "Purchase History"
3. Click on "View Receipt"
I cannot find my Willa Workshops Courses with all of the other Schools and Courses that I purchased on Teachable. How can I fix this?
You need to link my school into your account with all of your other schools. Here is how to do that:
1. From the school's website, https://willa-workshops.teachable.com/sign_in, please log in with the email address and password that you used when you created the account. *Important note here: The user will want to enter the password and click on the Login button directly underneath the password field.*
2. Click the profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.
3. Click the Edit Profile tab from the profile dropdown menu.
4. Scroll to the Linked Accounts section, and click Login next to the Teachable Accounts option.
5. In the login window, enter the email address and password associated with your Teachable Account. If you are already logged in to your Teachable Account on your device, you will skip this step. 5. Review the authorization information and click Authorize.
How do I turn off comment notifications on Teachable?
Please login to Teachable and go to your profile settings and toggle off the comments thingie going to your emails. I wish I could do this for you but I don't have that level of control over anyone else's Teachable account.
There is a course in my shopping cart on Teachable and I don't want to purchase it. How can I remove the course from my cart?
- At this time, the Teachable platform does not have a way for users to remove courses from their shopping carts, but after a few hours or a day, that "item" will disappear out of your shopping cart.
